As an accomplished musician and performer himself, he has an innate understanding of how to capture the creativity and personality of the artist. While he loved the idea of becoming a professional musician, photography was his primary passion.

Jamie studied at the International Center for Photography (ICP) and then attended the University of Wisconsin, where he received his B.A. in Communications. But Jamie's expertise did not just come from a conventional education. After earning his degree, he honed his craft for years assisting and apprenticing with some of the most revered photographers in the industry, including Ken Regan of Time magazine and fashion icon, Richard Avedon.

In the 1990's, Jamie lived in Israel, where he deepened his artistry as a photo-journalist for The Jerusalem Post. Since returning to the U.S., Jamie has gained a deeply respected reputation as a photographer of weddings, events, and individual portraits. His impressive portfolio includes photo shoots of Natalie Portman, Sarah Jessica Parker, Chris Rock, Steven Tyler, Mariah Carey, Paul Newman, Jerry Seinfeld, Spike Lee, G.E. Smith, Kevin Bacon, Dr. John, and James Taylor.

Jamie's commercial photography has regularly appeared on the pages of People, Martha Stewart Weddings, In Style, Ikea, The New York Times and The London Times. While New York City is Jamie's home base, his wedding clients have brought him all over the country and the globe.
